Sunday, November 9th @ 6:00 pm McCall Community Congregational Church (UCC) 901 1st Street, McCall  Free to the public, though donations will be accepted.   In November, Second Sunday Sounds @ Six, McCall's free monthly recital series, will feature renowned piano duo Dr. Jay and Sandy Mauchley from the University of Idaho. They will perform works by Barber, Faur, Goetz, Dvorak, Brahms, and Rossini in a program titled An Evening of Colorful and Brilliant Piano Duets. The performance will be Sunday, November 9th @ 6:00 pm at the McCall Community Congregational Church (UCC) located at 901 1st Street, McCall, and is free to the public, though donations will be accepted.  The Mauchley Duo has dazzled audiences of all ages in numerous recitals and concerto appearances throughout the United States. They enthrall music lovers with a virtuoso repertoire that spans three centuries. Listeners find their varied programs electrifying, enthralling, and passionate, as the Mauchleys display facile technique, stylistic interpretations, and outstanding virtuosity. They have a unique ability to perform together with such sensitivity and precision that the audience perceives the sound of a single instrument or a single performer. Jay and Sandy Mauchley, professors of piano at the University of Idaho, have performed as a duo-piano team for 25 years. Critics have called their programs spectacular, spontaneous, and have applauded their emotion and charm, fine-tuned technique, and thrilling bravura. The Mauchleys' versatility, their warm personalities, and their ability to relate to audiences at all levels have generated enthusiastic requests for repeat performances. The Second Sunday Sounds @ Six series is offered free to the public thanks to the generous support of our sponsors: the McCall Community Congregational Church (UCC), the McCall Music Society, and the McCall Arts & Humanities Council. December's recital will be the ever popular Community Christmas Carol-along featuring selections from Handel's Messiah and works by famed British choral composer John Rutter performed by the McCall Chorale and accompanied by the Centennial High School Chamber Orchestra. The McCall Community Children's Chorus will also perform.
